The conference dinner
Connect27 · Birmingham
Put down the lanyard, dig out the glad rags
You've spent the day learning, reflecting, questioning and scribbling notes. Now it's time to put down the lanyard, dig out the glad rags and dust off those dancing shoes. Or simply come as you are: the welcome will be just as warm.
Join us at the end of day one at the same venue for a delicious dinner and the chance to get to know colleagues old and new. Some of the best collaborations start over dessert.
Once the plates are cleared, the evening really gets going with music and a dance floor that's waiting for you.
Per person

Dinner is optional but places are limited.
When booking your conference ticket, please remember to add the dinner option before checking out to secure your seat.

Where we meet
National Conference Centre, Birmingham
Coventry Road, Bickenhill, Solihull, West Midlands, B92 0EJ
Connect27 will be held at the National Conference Centre (NCC) in Birmingham – one of the UK’s leading dedicated conference venues, located adjacent to Birmingham Airport and the NEC. With excellent rail, road, and air connections, the NCC is easily accessible from across the UK and internationally.
Recommended hotels
Due to the proximity to the Birmingham NEC, hotels in the area can book up quickly, with the best rates often available on specialist booking website sites such as via Expedia, Trivago or Booking.com (see links below). We advise you to book accommodation early to avoid disappointment as the NEC holds multiple large events throughout the year and prices are subject to change as we get closer to the date of the conference.
3 miles from NCC (5 min drive)
Discounted rate: EMCC UK have negotiated a discounted room rate for delegates at £132.84 per night (room only) if providing payment details upfront, or £147.60 per night (room only) if paying on arrival. Use code GA00367 when booking on 01675 443221. Parking is free for guests during their stay. There are limited rooms available at these rates so book early to avoid disappointment.
3.7 miles from NCC (8 min drive) - prices start from £100 per night
3.5 miles from NCC (8 min drive) - prices start from £150 per night
2.6 miles from NCC (5 min drive) - prices start from £200 per night
Getting to the National Conference Centre (NCC) Birmingham
Birmingham International station is a 5-minute walk from the NCC, with direct services from London (approx. 1 hr 20 min), Manchester (approx. 1 hr 20 min), and Bristol (approx. 1 hr 10 min). Cross-city and local services connect from Birmingham New Street in under 15 minutes. Please note that although the NCC is within walking distance, due to its proximity to a busy motorway roundabout, it is advised to use a taxi for the journey between the station and the NCC.
The NCC is located just off the A45, with direct access from Junction 6 of the M42. Postcode for sat-nav is: B92 0EJ. The NCC has its own free car park with ample spaces. Looking for a local taxi? The NCC recommends Veezu. You can book on 01179 25 26 26. Or if using Veezu for the first time, you can download and register on the Veezu app to get £5 off your first journey
Birmingham Airport is a 2-minute walk from Birmingham International station, making the NCC one of the most accessible conference venues in the UK for international delegates.
All recommended hotels are within a short drive of the NCC. Walking is not recommended due to the busy adjacent motorway junction. Taxis are available from the NCC reception.
Accessibility
The National Conference Centre is designed to be accessible to all delegates.
- All public entrances provide step-free access via low-gradient ramps and automatic doors.
- Inside the venue, all floors are level, with lifts to lower floors and dedicated chairlifts to upper-floor meeting rooms (Balcony, Wardroom and Crow’s Nest).
- Multiple designated accessible parking bays are located close to the building entrances.
- Corridors and lifts are wide enough for wheelchairs, and there is no fixed seating in meeting rooms, allowing wheelchair spaces to be positioned as needed.
- Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the venue.
- Dedicated accessible toilets are available across the conference centre.
For full details, see the venue's Accessibility page.
If you have specific accessibility requirements or need reasonable adjustments to support attendance, please contact the member services team before booking on info@emccuk.org.
Joining online

If you can be there, we’d love to welcome you on site
